Lithuania Sends Drone Jammers to Ukraine Following New Aid Plan

In a demonstration of solidarity, Lithuania has sent Ukraine a donation of drone-jamming equipment as part of its latest military aid package. This addition will bolster the already significant presence of advanced Lithuanian counter-unmanned aircraft systems that are currently operational signal jammer.

Ukraine can benefit from the ministry's aid program, which includes unspecified capabilities like weaponry, ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone equipment, and training and logistics support as needed drone jammer.

Kyiv is set to benefit from a substantial long-term assistance plan, as announced by the country. This plan, valued at 200 million euros ($217 million), will be allocated gradually until 2026, ensuring sustained aid for the city.

The support provided by Lithuania and its allies through weapons and equipment is essential for Ukraine's struggle for independence and for the security of Europe, as highlighted by Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.

Continuing Support

Lithuania's support for Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian war has been remarkable, as it has contributed over 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) in aid. Furthermore, the country's dedication is evident through its allocation of 1.2 percent of its GDP towards this important endeavor.

The significant contributions of this organization encompass two Kongsberg National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, 36 Bofors L-70 anti-aircraft guns with ammunition, and 50 M113 armored carriers.

In addition, plans were put forth to supply the country with more demining equipment, ammunition, and food rations between 2024 and 2025.

Furthermore, it aims to prepare about 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers through training by the conclusion of 2024.
